My son started with Shining Horizons while in elementary school. I have seen him progress from a child scared of the big animals to now being brave enough to walk the horse on a lead.
Most recently, with the unmounted sessions for the neurodiverse group, I have seen improvements with other kids. Previously he would not want to engage in conversation with kids he did not know but now, he will approach them and ask questions about their lives and is willing to socialize. Shining Horizons allows him to be himself and do things at his own pace.
