Our son Kyle has been going to Shining Horizon Therapeutic Riding sessions since he was a young boy and now is 24 years old.
Kyle is diagnosed with Autism and struggles with social skills and interactions with others. We have seen so many improvements over these years. Kyle now interacts with the staff and volunteers well, usually about his love of animals, movies and dinasaurs!!! He now initiates these conversations on his own.
Even after all these years, Kyle still loves going to
the barn on Monday nights, he never says he doesn't want to go like he does with other events or activities. He usually is dressed and out waiting in the car for us.
As his parents it gives us great joy to see him react so positively when at the barn riding, especially when he gets to trot on the horse, he has the biggest smile on his face.
