
At Shining Horizons, we’ve put together a small wish list of items that would make a big difference in our programs. If you happen to have any of these items at home, no longer need them, or are considering letting them go, we would be incredibly grateful if you’d think of us.
Books
Books for our family-room library: horse-themed youth books and neurodiversity-affirming resources.
Benches
We could really use some benches for our trail system, or to be used in front of our barn and arena.
Planters
Planters for front of barn (for planting fly repelling plants. Planter will also priovide a more welcoming look to our entrance.
Farm attachments
Small manure spreader, side mounted flail
mower…..or any other tool that would help us groom our meadows and trail system.
Dump trailer
Dump trailer to tow behind utility vehicle. For moving gravel, supplies etc. thru trail and property.
Floating deck
A floating deck could help us creating a safe space on our trail for small group assemblies during therapy sessions.
Gift certificates
Canadian Tire, Princess Auto, J&P Feed, Shurgain, Home Hardware (pellet supplier), Kent’s, Home depot, Costco, etc.
Kid size barn tools
A set or two of child-sized barn tools - broom and pitchfork - for young groups that want to help with chores.
Patio set
We could use a patio set for staff, participants and volunteers to gather during meetings or staff lunch breaks during the summer.
Electrical fence
(T posts, T post driver, energizer, insulators,
electric tape, etc.) for track system within our trail system.
Yurt
A yurt or program meeting building and associated equipment for floating deck in trail system.
Kids play equipment
Play equipment in the woods for our group programs. (Hammocks, ttire or saddle swings or something to climb on).
Craft supplies
Markers, paint, pencil crayons, sketch pencils, old magazines, stickers, stamps + pads, modelling clay, etc.) and colouring books.
Cleaning supplies
Laundry detergent, toilet paper, sanitation cleaners, garbage bags, rags,
Washing Machine
We're in desperate need to replace our washing machine, Preferably with an heavy duty version that handles heavy loads.
